The LLNL Retirees Organization keeps members updated about LLNL activities and the Lawrence Livermore Employee Services Association (LLESA). Our goal is to provide a connection that mutually benefits retirees and the Laboratory. With this connection, we can provide retirees with the latest developments of interest at the Laboratory as well as opportunities for retirees to contribute to maintaining the health of the Laboratory into the future. Members with email addresses now receive our monthly LLNL Retirees Newsletter that announces our luncheon speakers and keeps you posted on "Lab News Perhaps You Can Use." Plus members have the opportunity to socialize and share retirement experiences with other retirees, old friends, and new acquaintances at our monthly luncheons and annual picnic. We suggest that you join the LLNL Retirees’ Association, learn about and sign up for our activities, keep up with the latest news and have fun. You also become a member of LLESA that entitles you to benefits such as discount tickets to various theme parks and activities.

Our activities include:

• Luncheons with a speaker, held at the Livermore Elk's Lodge, 940 Larkspur Drive (near the Springtown golf course) on the third Wednesday of each month except for June and December. The speaker topics are quite varied and often include LLNL items of current interest such as pensions, interesting LLNL accomplishments, benefits, etc.
• We have a great annual summer picnic held at the Ravenswood Historical Site, 2647 Arroyo Road in Livermore, starting at 11:00 AM on the third Wednesday in June.
• We have travel slide shows offered on the fourth Tuesday of January through June at the Livermore Main Public Library starting at 2:00 PM.
• Members are able to join other Retirees in community service projects such as aiding in the operation of the Red Cross blood drives that are held on site at LLNL, acting as judges for science fairs, etc. These community service projects are not only rewarding, but also fun.
